Mr. Philippe Capron, born on May 25, 1958, joined Vivendi in January 2007as Executive Vice President. He became Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Management Board in April, 2007.

He is a graduate of l'Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC), l'Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP) and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA).

Between 1979 and 1981, Mr. Capron was assistant to the C.E.O. and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Sacilor. He joined France 's Inspection Générale des Finances in 1985 after graduating from Ecole Nationale d'Administration.

Advisor to the CEO of Duménil Leblé (1989-1990), Mr. Capron was then appointed Managing Director and Member of the Management Board of Banque Duménil Leblé, Cérus Group (1990- 1992). He then became Vice President and Partner of Bain & Company (1992 -1994). Between 1994 and 1997 he was Director of International Development and Member of the Executive Committee of the Euler Group and Chairman and CEO of Euler-SFAC between 1998 and 2000.

In November 2000, Mr. Capron joined the Usinor group as CFO and Member of the Executive Committee until 2002 when he was named Executive Vice President of Arcelor, in charge of the “steel packaging” division and then of international trading and distribution activities. At the beginning of 2006, he became Executive Vice President Finance and Member of the Management Board of the Arcelor Group.
