Rockferry by Duffy

Young Welsh singer Duffy is not only one of the breakthrough artists of 2008 but also the year's big winner so far in terms of record sales: her debut album Rockferry attained gold-record status in just one week. Duffy began writing songs at the tender age of 10, but started her rise to fame only a few years ago when she was discovered by Jeannette Lee of Rough Trade Records, who became her mentor and manager. She spent two years in London honing her songwriting talents with Bernard Butler, who introduced her to lesser-known musical gems that would be great sources of inspiration for her. Duffy's resulting career-launching album Rockferry showcases an inventive sound that's both nostalgic and timeless.

Canal+ Events will be handling international marketing for Olympique de Marseille's games in both the qualifying round of the Champions League and the UEFA Cup. Diablo III unveiled

During the Worldwide Invitational 2008 in Paris at the end of June, Blizzard Entertainment unveiled Diablo III, the continuation of the Diablo II story – two decades later. Mephisto, Diablo and Baal have been defeated, but the Worldstone, which once shielded the world of Sanctuary from the forces of both the High Heavens and Burning Hells, has been destroyed, and evil once again stirs in Tristram. Diablo III will include a special 3D-graphics engine for richer interiors and exteriors as well as impressive detail and captivating special effects. Cooperative and competitive play modes will be available online with Blizzard Entertainment's new version of its popular online gaming service.
