Judgment

On September 9, 2004, the French magazine Challenges published an article which Jean-René Fourtou, the then Chairman and CEO of Vivendi Universal, claimed to be libellous against him.

Following proceedings brought before the Paris Correctional Court, the Press Section has found Challenges guilty of libel against Jean-René Fourtou in a September 8, 2005 ruling.
