Vivendi is present in the video games business through Gameloft, a leader in the creation and publishing of digital games and one of the top innovators in its field. The company creates games for all digital platforms and owns the distribution network and most comprehensive marketing in the digital games industry.

Vivendi is also the largest shareholder of Ubisoft, a leading creator, publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment and services, of which it holds 26.80% of the share capital (March 2017).


Considered a leading mobile game publisher, Gameloft enjoys world-renowned expertise, with 175 free-to-play smartphone games developed in its 20 design studios, and more than 140 million players a month. In 2016, Gameloft also ranked as the leading mobile game publisher on Apple Store and Google Play, accounting for more than one billion downloads worldwide.

The company is present on all continents, distributes its games in over 120 countries and employs a total of nearly 6,000 people in 32 countries. For the second half-year 2016, Gameloft had revenues of €132 million ; on a pro forma basis, the annual revenues would be €257 million.

Gameloft has its own franchises as Asphalt®, Order & Chaos, Modern Combat, Gangstar or Dungeon Hunter, and also works with leading international rights holders, including Universal, Illumination Entertainment, Disney®, Marvel®, Hasbro®, Fox Digital Entertainment, Mattel® or Ferrari®.

Gameloft has established direct agreements with over 200 operators; with the Apple, Google, Microsoft and Amazon online app stores; and with the major social networks, as well as many mobile manufacturers, smartphones, tablets, connected TVs and set-top box.

Gameloft is also positioned in the advertising market through Gameloft Advertising Solutions. To date, more than 1,000 campaigns were delivered via Gameloft Advertising Solutions for prestigious brands such as Air France, Coca-Cola®, Ford, FOX™, Kellogg’s®, McDonalds, ©Netflix, Procter & Gamble, Samsung or Unilever,  in over 40 countries around the world (North America, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia…).
