Kindia 2015 is under the spotlight this week! On Monday, the documentary saga produced by Canal + received the French Reporters d’Espoir Innovation Award. Initiated in 2012 by the department of Canal + Group Documentaries in association with NGOs, Kindia 2015 is a new adventure in television: during four years, the channel’s teams follow the development of the projects undertaken by these organizations in the region of Kindia in Guinea-Conakry.

On Wednesday, the third part of the Kindia 2015 adventure will be broadcast on the French Canal+ channel. For this new episode, “The New Explorers” of Canal +, Celine Hue, Jerome Delafosse and Sebastian Perez, invite us to discover the progress of the projects. In three years, health, education and environment projects have grown considerably: already nine schools have been built and 12 health centers were rehabilitated. Alongside the editorial system set up by Canal + (a documentary each year to monitor the projects’ progress), viewers can help fund them through the Kindia+ fund.

This strong commitment of Canal+ is part of Vivendi’s CSR* policy. This results in particular in an editorial documentary policy that aims to open the mind to other cultures and to raise awareness to a sustainable and united world building. This vision was exposed in September 2013 by Christine Cauquelin, then Director of Documentaries of the channel, on Vivoice, Vivendi’s web radio. (listen to the podcast here – in French only).
