Canal+’s "Repérages" scouting program

The purpose of Canal+’s "Repérages" program, set up in 2004, is to build a pool of new talents and to be a source of new ideas for Canal+’s various channels.

Always in a spirit of promoting diversity, the team keeps an ongoing watch over the French audiovisual scene, including the printed press, radio, and current performing arts – from café-théâtre to the prestigious Comédie-Française –, while also keeping up with civil society (authors, experts, consultants, activists, etc.) The purpose is to find profiles that can strengthen the network’s teams and enrich its programming, on both sides of the screen. Meeting authors, humorists, actors/actresses, journalists and columnists, hosts and emcees, directors, etc. and organising casting sessions each year to meet the channels’ needs are the main tasks of "Repérages"; but the team is also on the lookout for short, innovative formats.

Following the same logic, the performance partnerships policy has been re-launched , another sign that Canal+ has strongly reasserted its role as talent finder, something that has always been a part of its identity.
