    In 2008 SFR launched a study on the environmental profile of its ADSL Box, including a life-cycle analysis of the product and its packaging, identification of priority environmental areas, and research on technology improvements. Furthermore and in the same field, SFR is also working on criteria for the evaluation of the environmental performance of the mobile devices it sells.

  • Canal+
    • Studio Canal Vidéo is marketing the first official "Happy Planet" product. In 2009, the next series of DVDs for children will be offered in 100% recyclable packaging – a "Bio Box" made of recycled plastics processed to be biodegradable when in contact with the soil.
    • In 2008 Canal+ launched the first 100% recyclable studio set for its "Les Nouveaux Explorateurs" program. The various parts of the set are made using non-polluting recycled materials, and after use the entire set will be sent to a recycling centre. Also, in 2009, the program’s New Explorers will draw up a carbon balance of their voyages around the world and compensate for their emissions by paying money to an association that works in favour of sustainable development.
