GVT accompanies young audiences on the Internet
« GVT takes society’s awareness of the use of new technologies, especially the Internet, seriously. With the vision of being the leader in Next Generation Services in Brazil, we consider that the ultra-high speed access requires Internet users’ constant attention.
To do a consistent and relevant job, the Company has entered into strategic partnerships with such respected Non-Governmental Organizations as the IT Democratization Committee (CDI), Safernet and Ciranda. The activities involve empowerment of children and parents to take informed decisions while selecting web content, dialogue with stakeholders in the blog www.postdobem.com.br and active cooperation with competent authorities working against the dissemination of unlawful content. GVT maintains in its online channels, a link to the National Center for Cyber Crimes (www.denuncie.org.br), which receives 2,500 calls relating to human rights violations on the Internet, every day.
GVT’s nationwide campaign for “Responsible Internet Use” has the support of well-known Brazilian artists and consists of videos, comics and printed guides, distributed in cyber cafes, as well as private and public schools. The content is also available at www.internetresponsavel.com.br and is taken to schools and educational institutions by GVT employees who serve as volunteers. »
