Nelly Furtado is back – with her first Spanish-language album

Three years ago, Nelly Furtado created a stir with her album Loose, selling nearly seven million copies worldwide including more than 320,000 in France. Polydor Records now announces the September release of El Plan, her first Spanish-language album. To aid her in this latest effort, which features only new songs, the pop and R&B singer solicited help from various Latin music artists who are also at home in jazz and soul. Josh Groban, Juan Luis Guerra (who recently won seven Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards), Julieta Venegas, Spanish rapper La Mala Rodriguez, Concha Buika, Alejandro Fernandez and the group Aventura all helped to write, compose and produce this new work. As a foretaste of the album, fans will enjoy the lead single, “Manos al Aire,” which is scheduled to hit the radio airwaves on June 30.

Lower rates for Europe and French overseas territories

SFR is launching its new Essentials prepaid plans for adult customers wanting to keep their mobile communication costs down by paying a fair rate for basic communications limited to voice and text messages. These new plans automatically block outgoing communications when the credit limit is reached, though incoming calls can still be received until the next billing cycle. Originally designed for teens, these prepaid plans have become very popular with the adult segment, which now accounts for 40% of the prepaid market. SFR is the first mobile telephony operator to launch a line tailored to meet this specific target’s needs.
