Vivendi

Vivendi is partner of the first Paneuropean Youth Panel on online safety, which took place in Luxembourg on 21 October 2009. The young panelists for the member states of the European Union discussed topics related to how they use the Internet and the social networks, and also expressed their needs regarding information about staying safe in an online environment and including special teaching in Internet use in their school curricula.
The work was done in committees, and then the conclusions were discussed in a plenary session in which Vivendi and all the partners associated with the event took part. While in general the young panelists recognized the benefits of using the Internet, they did mention their desire to be better informed, in particular by their parents and teachers, of potential risks related to the Internet.
