Vivendi and Canal+ indicated in September 2015 their willingness to invest further in films and announced that Vivendi will take a 30% stake in Mars Films, a French leader in the production and distribution of motion pictures. Studiocanal and RED Production Company, a Studiocanal subsidiary, furthermore announced in October 2015 the creation of Guilty Party, a new TV and film production company in the United Kingdom.
