The entire Vivendi group is committed to making the next Rugby World Cup, to be held in France in 2023, a tremendous success.

Vivendi is the Official Sponsor of the next Rugby World Cup to be held in France in 2023. It is the world’s third largest sporting event. All the group’s entertainment activities, each bringing their own forms of expression and audiences, will help give unprecedented exposure to this sporting competition.

Our objective, which is also the aim of the Rugby World Cup France 2023 Organizing Committee, is to help new audiences discover and fall in love with rugby and to promote its values.

For example, Universal Music Group, following the successful musical shows produced for the last three Top 14 with well-known artists (Bob Sinclar, Mika, Big Flo & Oli), is working with the Organizing Committee to give an additional dimension to the competition.

Canal+, which for thirty years has been the broadcaster of the French Top 14 championship, as well as many other national and international competitions, has already started using its channels and platforms (myCanal, Dailymotion) to  promote the sport through specials, documentaries and fiction.

Vivendi didn’t wait for the official announcement of its sponsorship to get involved in several major initiatives. Within Havas, BETC designed and produced the animated videos announcing Rugby World Cup France 2023 Official Sponsors. Havas Paris was in charge of branding and communication for Campus 2023, the Apprentice Programme created by France 2023 that will educate and prepare France’s future sports administrative experts.

Editis published a groundbreaking Gastronomie XV cookbook featuring 23 Chefs brought together by France 2023 on the occasion of the “Rugby World Cup Train” that traveled across France in September and October.

With such a team, no doubt, the Rugby World Cup will be a resounding success!
