Vivendi completes divestment of majority of Activision Blizzard stake; receives $8.2billion in cash

 

Vivendi announced today the completion of the divestment of over 85% of its interest in Activision Blizzard. The Group has received cash proceeds totaling $8.2billion.

This divestment represents a major step forward in the strategic review Vivendi has been conducting for the last year. It provides the Group with greater financial flexibility at a time when it is studying a demerger plan in order to create significant shareholder value.

As announced on July 26, 2013, Vivendi retains 83 million Activision Blizzard shares, representing about 12% of Activision Blizzard’s total common shares.
