After three years, the International Chair of Storytelling, created by Université Côte d’Azur, the Cannes municipality, Vivendi and Canal+, turns into Talent Unlimited and positions itself as one of the most ambitious writing programmes in Europe. At the end of the call for applications, 18 authors will be pre-selected for each residency.

Talent Unlimited‘s goal is to support tomorrow’s talents through a challenging and immersive programme harmoniously combining narrative skills with European and American artistic sensibilities.

The two international screenwriting residencies – Canneseries Unlimited devoted to series writing, and Cannesfilm Unlimited devoted to feature-length writing – aim to reveal new talents from all walks of life and lead them to develop European fictions with an international scope in order to offer strong and universal stories in the world.

The selected projects benefit from the support of prestigious mentors and distinguished partners – the city of Cannes, Vivendi, Canal+, Studiocanal, Black List, Serial Eyes, Université Côte d’Azur and the CNC – who will reinforce the artistic and professional approach of the authors and guide them into a fast-changing industry.

The CannesFilm Unlimited residence is twinned with the International Cannes Film Festival, and the Canneseries Unlimited with CannesSeries, thus providing the exceptional opportunity to participate in the most awaited professional event in the world of cinema and series.

This professionalized program is part of the all new University Campus of Cannes which proposes many writing and creating audiovisual content trainings.

The calls for applications for these two residencies will open today and close on November 8, 2020.
