Canal+ has announced the launch of D8 and D17 on October 7 at 8:30 p.m. D8 will see Laurence Ferrari hosting the show Le Grand 8, supported by news commentators Elisabeth Bost, Audrey Pulvar, Hapsatou Sy and Roselyne Bachelot. Cyril Hanouna will be back with Touche pas à mon poste and Nouvelle Star. Guy Lagache will be making his big comeback with En quête d’actualité, while Thierry Ardisson hosts Tout le monde en a parlé. Two daily news segments are planned, one at noon and another at 7:40 p.m., hosted by Elé Asu and Daphné Roulier respectively, with Adrienne de Malleray on the weekend. We find the secret agent at the beginning of his career in the Goldfinger mission, investigating Auric Goldfinger, a gold magnate suspected of masterminding a recent spike in precious-metal prices. This investigation will reveal an even bigger conspiracy, the goal of which is to irradiate Fort Knox’s entire gold reserves. For the past several years, Maroc Telecom has been using renewable energy to power its base stations in rural areas that are still without electricity. Nearly 18,000 solar panels power 100 GSM sites, 180 TDMA sites and 115 radio relays, helping to reduce remote villages’ isolation. Maroc Telecom is making significant investments in this clean technology in the context of the national PACTE program. The operator has also eliminated the use of plastic bags in its branches, opting instead for biodegradable paper, and is gradually replacing plastic prepaid reload cards with alternative electronic reloading solutions.
