Canal+ won the Best French Television Series Award for season 4 of Mafiosa at the 17th Festival Polar in Cognac, France. This series, which comprises eight 52-minute episodes, is directed by Pierre Leccia and features Hélène Fillières as a young woman who finds herself at the head of a Corsican mafia group. The fifth season is currently being written. Canal+ is also a contender at the 40th International Emmy Awards for its original series Braquo and The Lying Game, which are nominated in the Drama Series and TV Movie categories respectively. The ceremony will be held in New York City on November 19.

Universal Music has signed a distribution agreement with the iConcerts channel, an international platform dedicated to live music. This first partnership with a major label will cover 20 HD TV titles through basic service and 250 concerts on VoD. The iConcerts channel will broadcast HD concerts from such Universal artists as Amy Winehouse, Kanye West, Gwen Stefani, Nelly Furtado, Oasis, Miak, Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix. The offering for the French market will be available as of December.

SFR has just launched Joe, a 100% digital mobile operator. This new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) offers prepaid cards and service agreements, and its offering is exclusively available online. Customers manage their plan use via a web application called Le Cockpit, which is accessible on mobile phones, tablets and computers. Joe offers two plans: the first comprises two hours of voice communication as well as unlimited text messages and multimedia messages for €10 per month, while the second adds unlimited voice communications and 3 Gb of data transmissions to the basic plan for a total of €20 per month.
