Soundtracks from films of Scorsese, Polanski, Godard, Truffaut, Demy and composers such as Ennio MorriconeBernard Herrmann , Antoine Duhamel,Georges Delerue, François de Roubaix and Michel Legrand are all gathered on the “Ecoutez le cinema!” discography collection ( Decca Records / Universal Music France) created by Stéphane Lerouge in 2000. In this video interview, this passionate film restorer shares his testimony and insights about his work. About promoting cultural heritage by rediscovering rare soundtracks in Universal archives and beyond, he says with enthusiasm “I find it gratifying when an older piece finds new life and touches a fresh generation, which appropriates it and makes it into something new”.
