Vivendi is pleased to lend its support to ENS Cachan and the Sorbonne Nouvelle university for the organization of the “Transliteracies: issues of citizenship and creativity” colloquium, to be held in Cachan near Paris, from November 7 to November 9, 2012. This conference, also sponsored by the French Commission for UNESCO and the INA, will bring together leading international experts and will explore issues of media education and information.

These themes are fully in accordance with Vivendi’s sustainable development policy, which in 2003 defined the protection and empowerment of youth in its cultural and media practices as one of its strategic challenges. In this context, Vivendi is since 2006 a partner of the European Commission’s Safer Internet Programme and unique online platform Pan-EU Youth, which offers young Europeans a space for expression and discussion on topics of citizenship.

Vivendi is pleased to join in this event these young Europeans who will thus have the honor to interact with internationally renowned experts about their digital practices.
