Vivendi: Vincent Bolloré co-opted to the Supervisory Board
Pascal Cagni appointed as an attending Director

 

Vivendi’s Supervisory Board, in its meeting today, co-opted Vincent Bolloré, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bolloré Group, as a member of the Supervisory Board.

This co-option became possible following the vacancy left by the resignation of Jean-Yves Charlier, who has now taken on an operational role within the group since the beginning of October. It will be submitted to the next General Shareholders Meeting for ratification.

In addition, Pascal Cagni, who has just left his post as General Manager, VP Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA) of Apple Inc., was today appointed as an attending Director of the Supervisory Board.

 

Vincent Bolloré is a doctor of law and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bolloré group. He began his career in 1970 as a representative of the Banque de l’Union européenne before joining La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild in 1976.
In 1981, he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bolloré group’s paper business. Under Vincent Bolloré, the group became one of the world’s 500 largest companies. As a listed company, the Bolloré group has a strong position in each of its businesses, organized in three divisions: Transport and Logistics, Communication and Media, and Electricity Storage. The group also manages a long-term investments portfolio.

Pascal Cagni is a key player in the European digital economy. He successfully led the deployment of innovative and groundbreaking products and services.
Recruited by Steve Jobs in early 2000, as General Manager and Vice President Apple Europe, Middle-East, India, and Africa (EMEIA) he led for 12 years a region of 130 countries with revenues growing from $1.2 billion to close to over $37 billion. Starting his career as a consultant at Booz & Co he joined Compaq Computers, established Software Publishing France (SPC) and then led Packard Bell NEC as the number one home PC manufacturer.
Pascal holds an MA in Law, is a graduate of l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, holds an MBA from HEC and graduated from Stanford Business School (EPGC).
