The French Telecom Federation has launched a website dedicated to the collection of used mobile phones (rapportersonmobile.fr). The site informs users of the importance of bringing in their used phones, providing factual data on the environmental, financial and social benefits involved as well as information on drop-off points and financial incentives offered by telecom operators. The Where to Take Your Phone section presents the phone-collection options offered by SFR, which has been collecting used mobile phones and accessories from all customers at Espace SFR outlets since 2003. If the phone still has value, the operator offers a purchase credit that can be used that day at the same Espace SFR outlet, and donates €4.00 to partner organizations.

*Corresponding to the value of the mobile phone as established by service provider SFR and redeemable the same day for products or accessories at the same Espace SFR outlet to which the customer has brought the mobile phone. After the end of the day, the purchase credit is nullified and will not be reimbursed. “Win Your Reload” with Rweda D’Swity

Maroc Telecom has launched “Win Your Reload,” a fun, easy game involving a wheel that appears twice per week at random times for 30 minutes on Maroc Telecom’s official Facebook page. Fans can spin the wheel for a chance to win Jawal or 3G+ reloads in the amount of 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 dirhams or a mystery prize. Before beginning the game, fans must fill out a registration form; the wheel then appears onscreen and the game begins. Each fan gets two spins per session, but can get an additional spin after inviting 10 friends to participate, which also increases the reload amounts: 10 friends = 100 dirhams and 20 friends = 200 dirhams. Winners’ accounts are immediately credited with the reload amount after the game session ends.
