Les Ateliers Tamayé are located in Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. The aim of this school is to train local talent far removed from the cultural industries in music, dance, broadcasting, theater and theater production.

Under the direction of Abidine Diouari, the workshops have rapidly made a name for themselves: more than 70% of the students have found work in their field upon completing their training and have thus contributed to enriching the cultural landscape of Burkina Faso.

Vivendi Create Joy was the founding partner of this initiative in 2010 and follows every class closely.

Les Ateliers Tamayé team and the project organizers from the Binkad association located in Mali met at Create Joy’s Associations Forum. After some very friendly discussions, the idea arose of somehow exporting the Tamayé system to Kadiolo in Mali, in order to provide the young people of the Binkad association with the benefit of the expertise of the professionals from Burkina Faso.

So, in 2014-2015, three sessions of one month each are planned at the Foyer des Jeunes in Kadiolo (recently renovated thanks to Binkad and supported by Vivendi Create Joy!). The first session will begin on November 3. The best Malian talent will be invited to take part in a musical put on jointly with students from Mali and Burkina Faso.

Vivendi Create Joy fully supports this exchange and encourages the sharing of culture between the two associations and the two countries…
