Canal+
Jack’s back!

Having revolutionized the scriptwriting, editing and staging of television series, the show 24 fired up fans, who devoured the various seasons and lived vicariously through Jack Bauer’s incredible adventures and unusual life. To hail the return of this legendary hero and bring the show to impatient French fans as soon after the US broadcast as possible, Canal+ will be bringing 24: Live Another Day to subscribers in a broadcast that is almost simultaneous* with the US broadcast on Fox. The first two episodes, in English with French subtitles, will be aired at 2:40 am on Canal+. Then, beginning May 6, it will be shown 24 hours after its US broadcast, again in English with French subtitles, every Tuesday at 8:50 pm on Canal+ Séries and, of course, 24/7 via Canal+ On Demand. It will also soon be aired during primetime in a multilingual version on Canal+. Four years after his disappearance, the US secret service has tracked down fugitive Jack Bauer in London, at the same time that the US president is visiting the city. Is it a coincidence, or a plot orchestrated by a masterful hand?

*Launched 40 minutes after the US for optimal subscriber reception conditions (subtitled and without advertising).

Universal Music
David Garrett:
Caprice

David Garrett has released a new album, Caprice, featuring works inspired by Niccolo Paganini – the celebrated “Caprice No. 24” in particular – as well as some personal compositions. Two famous guests participated on this album: Andrea Bocelli (vocals for “Ma Dove Sei”) and Nicole Scherzinger (vocals for “Lo ti penso”). Caprice marks Garrett’s return to classical music, which has always inspired him (Deutsche Grammophon signed him at age 14). In the 19th century, Paganini was renowned for his exceptional virtuosity and a stage presence worthy of one of today’s pop stars. If video had existed back then, we could probably have compared him with Garrett! Those who have seen Garrett live can testify to his extraordinary energy and ability to make the music his own and create something entirely new from it. The violinist’s approach is to play classical music in the style of today’s major rock groups, something he pulls off with brio.
