Canal+ Overseas authorized to acquire Mediaserv

The French Competition Authority has given its consent for Canal+ Overseas to acquire 51% of Mediaserv from the Loret Group. Mediaserv is the leading high-speed alternative telecom operator in Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guyana and Reunion. This is the last stage before the operation’s finalization in a few days’ time. By taking control of Mediaserv, Canal+ Overseas can continue its growth and diversify its operations overseas. It will in particular get support from Mediaserv’s infrastructures and teams for the launch of new innovative offers, especially those related to the Internet and television, with the goal of winning over new overseas consumers.

Aranjuez, the latest album from Miloš

Guitarist Miloš Karadaglic’s new album, which features top guitar classics, is being released on February 17 by Mercury Classics (Deutsche Grammophon). After his very successful albums Mediterraneo and Latino, Miloš is taking on beloved pieces such as the Aranjuez concerto and Joaquin Rodrigo’s Fantasia for a Gentleman. Added to that are works by Manuel de Falla and Fernando Sor. The last track of the album is a reprise of the iconic Beatles song Michelle. Accompanied by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the young and charismatic conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, this new album is undeniably the biggest event in classical music so far this year.
