During this special evening event, co-organized by Convergence and the French Media CSR Forum (Forum RSE Médias) which includes Vivendi,  Christine Cauquelin took the floor alongside Daniel Green (Gates Foundation), Soe Myingt (Mizzima Media), Dominique Quinio (La Croix) and Matthieu Ricard. Co-hosted by Angela Santiago (Youphil.com) and Judith Jakubowicz (Convergences), the debate focused on the media societal footprint and on their role regarding changes in society: “Are the media supportive of shifting societies or not? ” (Free registration here).

Christine Cauquelin shared her experience and her advocacy for progressive documentaries at Canal+ Group (see her previous quote published in our 2009 Activity and Sustainable Development Report). During this evening dedicated to media, two former guests of Vivoice webradio casts, Marie Camier (MediaEducation.fr) and Laurent Bizot (No Format!), also presented their initiatives and opinions.

On Wednesday 18, Vivendi also contributed to the workshop on “The Woman’s representation in the medias: what evolution?”, inviting Elisabeth Elgàn, Senior Lecturer in History, University of Stockholm. Ms Elgàn recently published a paper on a cross-analysis of gender parity policies and their acknowledgment in France and Sweden in Women-men : think equality (eds. Sandrine Dauphin Rejane Sénac, Paris: La documentation française, 2012). This debate, led by Jean-Philippe Moinet (Revue Civique), is also available as a Vivoice podcast.
