Culture(s) with Vivendi is back with a new column by Jean Charest, former Premier of Quebec and an enthusiastic partisan of cultural diversity.

Under his government, Quebec was the first country to adopt the UNESCO International Convention on the Protection and the Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. Jean Charest recalls the major role played by Quebec and Canada in the development and adoption of the 2005 Convention, entered into force on March 18, 2007.
