The Director of the Festival international d’art lyrique d’Aix-en-Provence expresses himself on Vivendi’s website devoted to cultural diversity.

At the head of the Festival d’Aix since 2007, Bernard Foccroulle gives us two interviews: one in which he explains his career path and his tasks as director of the Festival; the other where he sets out his vision as an ambassador for intercultural dialogue.

Founded in 1948, the Festival d’Aix stands alone in the opera scene for the diversity of its programming, stretching the repertoire from Mozart to Baroque music and contemporary creation.

Vivendi has been the official sponsor of the Festival d’Aix since 1998. This partnership is perfectly in line with Vivendi’s corporate social responsibility policy that holds the promotion of cultural diversity to be a strategic issue for the group and a pillar of sustainable development. Also Vivendi follows the Festival’s policy of opening up to a wider audience through the Vivendi Create Joy Fund which supports the Junior Orchestra and the Orchestre des jeunes de la Méditerranée.
