To celebrate the 100th anniversary of her birth and the 60th anniversary of her first Olympia, Grevin presents the figure of Edith Piaf to her fans from all over the world. Before joining the famous museum, the wax figure of the iconic French singer was presented on June 25 in front of L’Olympia, the Paris legendary venue, part of Vivendi Village, where Edith Piaf gave her first concert in 1955. Starting in December 1960, she performed for three months in a series of uninterrupted sold out concerts at the Olympia and created, on this occasion, the famous song, “Non, je ne regrette rien.”

The creation of the Edith Piaf figure took six months of work for the sculptor Stéphane Barret and the Grevin’s artistic workshop team. The figure is wearing her famous black dress that became her trademark on stage. Edith Piaf was wearing this outfit for its sobriety and simplicity, concerned that her appearance should not distract the audience attention.
