Happiness Therapy, which will be released at cinemas in France on January 30, is competing in four categories. Moonrise Kingdom is competing for Best Musical or Comedy. Marion Cotillard has been nominated for Best Actress in a Drama for Rust and Bone. Also in the same category is Naomi Watts for her role in The Impossible. Denzel Washington has been nominated for Best Actor for his role in Flight (distributed in Germany on January 24). The film Hunger Games is competing for best original song with “Safe & Sound”.

Number 10 in the S&P/Hawkamah ESG Pan Arab Index
The Pan Arab S&P/Hawkamah Environment, Social and Governance index was reweighted in early December 2012. The index includes 50 pan-Arab companies ranked by their performance in 200 environmental, social and governance indicators. Its goal is to measure the performance of companies that have shown their superiority in these areas compared to others in the region. Maroc Telecom’s no. 10 position illustrates the importance the operator places on these issues, which are all an important part of its commitment to innovation and financial performance.

GVT promotes football
A constellation of some 45 global football met on December 19 in Porto Alegre, Brazil, to play in the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) 10th Match Against Poverty. The event was sponsored by GVT, Brazilian company broadband, conventional telephony and pay TV. The friendly football match has been organized to raise awareness of global development challenges and funds through ticket sales, sponsorship and broadcast rights to support projects to help reduce poverty in Brazil and Africa. The two teams of former and current stars will be respectively captained by UNDP Goodwill Ambassadors Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane. Among the legendary Brazilian players who will play are superstars Zico, Romario, Bebeto, Cafu and Roberto Carlos as well as European stars Salgado, Karembeu and Ljungberg.
