GVT officially launched its telecommunications and pay-TV services to the residential market of Sao Paulo at the end of August.

As Brazil`s biggest city and also the main center for finance, commerce and industry in Latin America, the expansion of operations to Sao Paulo constitutes a major step in the development of GVT. The operator has been established in the city since 2004, however services were previously offered exclusively to businesses.

Infrastructure works on this project started in December 2012, focusing on the North, East and South of the city. Areas in the West should be covered by the beginning of 2014, with a goal of 35% coverage in the city by 2015.

The campaign to launch GVT emphasizes the many innovations offered by the operator and its superior technology. A video on YouTube also advertises the corporate values of quality, transparency and respect, while stressing the importance of customer service both on location and over the phone.

Service quality and excellent technology were highlighted just days ago by the influential Brazilian business magazine Dinheiro, which awarded GVT the prize for Brazil’s best telecom company.

Amos Genish, the Chief Executive Officer of GVT, receives the prize for the best Brazilian telecom company by Luis Fernando Sá, Director of Publications of Dinheiro magazine.
