SFR inaugurated today its 4G mobile network in Marseille, a new step for the #1 alternative telecoms operator in France towards the generalization of very high speed mobile telephony for both private users and companies. Marseille is the 7th city to be covered in 4G by SFR at the end of March, to be followed by three additional cities in the course of the 2nd quarter 2013.
The same day, the Marseille Provence Métropole urban community and SFR have signed an agreement to deploy its own fiber-to-the-home network on the Marseille Provence Métropole territory, with the exception of the very dense areas.
