Studio+, the Vivendi’s global premium short series offer, has won a major award at the 30th International Festival of Audiovisual Programmes (FIPA) for its original series: Crime Time – Hora de Perigo.

Recognition of Crime Time – Hora de Perigo underlines the growing audience appeal of content-for-mobile productions. The series emerged as a prize-winner among 1,200 works from more than 70 countries, which were submitted to the festival in Biarritz from 24 to 29 January 2017.

Crime Time – Hora de Perigo won The FIPA Gold award for Best Screenplay. The award follows acclaim for other Studio+ original series including T.A.N.K, Brutal and Kill Skills.

The series was written by Aurelien Molas, Valentine Milville and Jose Caltagirone and directed by Julien Trousselier. It was inspired by a true story which took place towards the end of the 1980s in northern Brazil.

The screenwriters chose to set this adaptation of the story in modern-day Sao Paolo. The seven episodes, each only 12 minutes long, combine fast-paced plotlines and intrigue.

The nightly shows of Crime Time – Hora de Perigo was set in the favela ganglands of Brazil. The show stars Antonio “Tony” Padaratz in a character with power, money and influence. Padaratz is a former policeman, born in the favelas, who has become a TV ratings king.

Studio+ is part of Vivendi Content, the Vivendi subsidiary that develops new content formats. The first season of Crime Time – Hora de Perigo is available on the Studio+ app.
