The latest from McCartney

Former Beatle Paul McCartney has just released New, his 16th solo album. The lead-off track of the same name sets the tone for the album, which has created a lot of buzz, given that McCartney hasn’t done an album of all-new compositions in six years. Throughout the album’s 12 tracks are nods to The Beatles, Wings and his solo work, but in line with his current sound and fine-tuned by four producers. “The original idea was to go to a few producers whose work I loved, to see who I got on with best,” the artist explains in the press kit. “But it turned out I got on with all of them.”

SFR
SFR experiments with LTE-Advanced

At Efixo, an SFR R&D lab in Marseille, the company has carried out the first LTE-Advanced trials in France. LTE-Advanced can provide speeds higher than those already available with LTE (more commonly known as 4G) thanks to the aggregation of 800 MHz LTE and 2,600 MHz LTE on the terrestrial spectrum. With higher capacities and speeds, LTE-Advanced makes it easier for more people to use 4G. The first compatible devices will hit the market in the second half of 2014 for both individual customers and businesses. SFR thus maintains its leading edge, and remains convinced, now more than ever, that its network’s quality and performance make all the difference to its customers, regardless of their profile.
