Tunnel, the new Canal+ original creation

Beginning on November 11, Canal+ will be airing Tunnel, its new original creation adapted from the Scandinavian series The Bridge. This 10-episode crime drama is coproduced by Canal+ and Sky Atlantic. The first bilingual series on French and British television, it tells the story of a police investigation into the murder of a famous French female politician whose body is found in the Channel tunnel. What at first appears to be a straightforward murder will turn out to be much more complex and worrisome, leading the French and British police to join forces in investigating the crime. Two officers, one from each side of the Channel, will have to embark upon a sometimes difficult collaboration to track down a formidable serial killer, with each murder bringing them closer to the truth. “Signature Sinatra”

Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music company, has licensed global audio catalogue rights to Frank Sinatra’s timeless Reprise recordings from Frank Sinatra Enterprises (FSE). This multi-year agreement unites Sinatra’s classic Capitol albums from the 1950s with his signature Reprise albums from the 1960s for the first time, and will enable the release of a broad range of Sinatra titles under a new “Signature Sinatra” imprint, which will be backed by marketing initiatives building toward the 100th anniversary in 2015 of Sinatra’s birth. In addition to Sinatra’s concept albums from his Capitol years, UMG will now represent Sinatra’s recordings on Reprise Records, a catalogue that includes such popular-culture milestones as “Strangers In The Night,” “That’s Life,” “Theme From New York, New York,” “It Was A Very Good Year” and “My Way.”

37th edition of the Sao Paulo International Film Festival

GVT was an official partner of 37th edition of the Sao Paulo International Film Festival, one of the most important Brazilian culture events. The festival ended the October, 31 with a screening of Ettore ScolaHow Strange to be Named Federico, Scola Narrates Fellini, landing precisely on the 20th anniversary of Fellini’s death. The 2013 edition also paid tribute to the director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer Stanley Kubrick, staging an exhibit of his work and a retrospective of his films.
