In the midst of the current Ebola outbreak, the Universal Music Group (UMG) is rallying attention around the cause. Several of its French singers and performers have worked on a collaborative new album, paying forward all profits made from their songs to the NGO Doctors Without Borders. More than 3,400 people are currently working in Africa, where the disease is still gaining ground.

Well-known French singers across all genres have participated in this musical venture, among which are featured Vanessa Paradis, Benjamin Biolay, Louis Bertignac, Zazie, Adamo, Carla Bruni, Kendji Girac, Amadou & Mariam, Skip the Use and Fefe. In total, 32 artists joined the cause.

Following in the footsteps of the CD “Africa Stop Ebola” sung by African singers & performers and marketed by UMG, and of the French version of the new Band Aid, “Do they know it’s Christmas?” adapted by Carla Bruni,  is a new initiative put forward by the major to fight the epidemic. The CD has been on sale in France since the 5th of January 2015.
