Vivendi is the official partner of the French Comedy Festival which takes place from June 21 to 25 in New York. This international francophone comedy festival, the first of its kind organized in the United States, is the initiative of a French-American comedian, Michael Sehn, who has supported well-known acts including Anne Roumanoff, Kev Adams, D’Jal and Michel Boujenah.

In 2011 at the age of 22, Sehn decided to pursue the American dream and move to New York, the home of stand-up comedy. He learnt English, became American, and started performing sketches in English in iconic theaters such as the Comedy Cellar in Manhattan. In 2014, he met Kallagan, another successful French comedian, and together they decided to launch the French Comedy Night.

Over the five-day festival, talented comedians from France, Switzerland and Canada will perform in front of NY’s French-speaking community. On the last day, they will get together for a Broadway Comedy Night, a special evening in English with some famous American comedians joining the French artists.

Vivendi is delighted to be supporting this initiative,” said Christelle Graillot who heads Vivendi Talents. “French culture is always popular and travels well. There are many talented individuals, supported by our Group, which are appealing to audiences worldwide. This first edition of the French Comedy Festival in the United States is a great opportunity for some of these artists to make themselves known and to promote our culture worldwide”.

See Tickets, a Vivendi Village unit specializing in ticketing and present in the United States, is handling ticket sales for the French Comedy Festival.
