Vivendi was ranked number seven, and is the first French company, in the 2012 Global 100 list of the most sustainable large corporations that was announced on the opening day of the Davos World Economic Forum last January 26th. This list of “companies practicing cleaner capitalism beating benchmark by substantial margin” includes companies from 22 countries encompassing all sectors of the economy, ranked based on 11 indicators including environment, governance, sustainability remuneration and innovation capacity. Vivendi’s top ranking among the Global 100 is a recognition of the company’s continuous efforts to conduct a stringent sustainable development policy that puts its economic, social, societal and environmental performance into perspective with regard to its business activities and its geographical locations.
