On January 20, Paris Europlace presented the results of the joint survey Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of its sustainable Finance committee.

In addition of the survey presentation, two thematic round-tables stimulated and contributed to the discussion. Pascale Thumerelle, Director of the CSR department at Vivendi and also a member of the sustainable finance committee, spoke at the second debate called “Integrated Report: contrasting perspectives between issuers and investors.”

As from 2013, Vivendi achieved an integrated reporting pilot project to measure the contribution of investments, made in the musical, cinematographic and audiovisual sectors, to the creation of social and financial value. By doing so, Vivendi positioned itself as one of the media sector’s forerunners. Indeed, the group participated in the 4th conference of the IIRC (International Integrated Reporting Council) in September 2014 in Madrid, where it was the only French media group present.

Paris Europlace, which aims to promote the attractiveness of the Paris financial market and to contribute to its success, wanted to conduct a survey with companies and investors about their practices and expectations of SRI and CSR.

The results of this survey should allow to set priorities and provide recommendations that will be implemented, particularly in the context of preparing the “Financial center Committee Paris 2020”, and even more so since the themes of SRI and CSR feature among the strategic lines of the Paris financial market.
