Watchever, the German subscription video-on-demand service part of Vivendi Village, launches today a totally-repackaged service structured around branded channels. A total of 25 of them, covering a diversity of genres, are being offered from the outset to all Watchever subscribers, developed in association with major international production powerhouses and broadcasters including CBS, BBC Worldwide, The Walt Disney Company and ZDF Enterprises.

Watchever simultaneously introduced a new recommendation engine combining the use of a sophisticated algorithm and additional input from a dedicated in-house editorial team.  Subscribers will be able to select up to five different profiles at any time.

In addition, Watchever designed a totally new look-and-feel and added new, original features to the subscriber user experience.

Watchever will provide additional channels to its subscribers in the coming months. Its aim is to significantly enhance the value of thousands of content available to subscribers thanks to better segmentation and packaging, superior recommendation and search tools, as well as a simple and extremely intuitive navigation system.
