Zahia Ziouani’s career path deserves our greatest respect: after a childhood in Paris suburb where she starts to learn how to play the viola at Pantin Conservatory of Music discovering the orchestra from the inside, she studied with the Maestro Sergiu Celibidache and decided to create at only 20 years old the Orchestre Symphonique Divertimento which gathers 70 musiciens from Paris and its suburbs. Zahia Ziouani is not only passionate and gifted but also driven to succeed in becoming a conductor.  “I didn’t really want them to make the decision for me”, she admits talking about those close to her. The Franco-Algerian conductor is also committed to achieve gender parity in her orchestra and to educational field.

“Because of how I grew up and my experience of music, I felt there were lots of things we could do and new ideas to put into action “tells Zahia Ziouani in front of the camera of Cultures With Vivendi.
