CANAL+ GROUP HAS ACQUIRED EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO BROADCAST ENGLAND’S PREMIER LEAGUE FOR THE NEXT THREE SEASONS

CANAL+ Group is proud to have been awarded exclusive rights to broadcast all the games of the English Premier League – the world’s most watched football championship – following FAPL’s consultation in various European geographies.

CANAL+ Group subscribers will be able to watch the biggest games between England’s top teams – Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham for example – during each of the next three seasons’ 38 matchdays, featuring the best French and international players (Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kanté, Olivier Giroud, Eden Hazard, Mohamed Salah, Sergio Agüero, Harry Kane and others) in Europe’s most fiercely disputed league.

CANAL+ will be airing the 380 Premier League games on its channels and on its TV everywhere service, MyCanal.
The agreement between the CANAL+ Group and the Premier League covers the 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons, and will take effect in August 2019.

As a result, the CANAL+ Group will treat its subscribers to France’s finest football with the top three Ligue 1 games on every matchday, the best of the other European championships including the full Premier League, a full-length evening show covering Ligue 2 matchdays, the full Coupe de la Ligue, France ‘s top female football league, the FIFA Women’s World Cup, France’s top rugby leagues (Top 14 and Pro D2), southern hemisphere rugby, Formula 1, MotoGP and Rally world championships, golf tournaments and the 2020 Olympics.
