Last sunday night, on the stage of the Microsoft Theatre of Los Angeles, the United States were celebrating the best of music during the 45th edition of the American Music Awards.
This prestigious ceremony pays tribute to some of today’s most successful and influential artists and is very popular with TV viewers.
Once again, the AMAs recognized many UMG artists:
Niall Horan was awarded « New Artist of the Year »,
Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee feat Justin Bieber were awarded « Collaboration of the Year » and « Favorite Pop/Rock Song »,
Drake was awarded « Favorite Rap/Hip hop Artist »,
Kendrick Lamar was awarded « Favorite Rap/Hip hop Album »
Shawn Mendes was awarded « Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist »,
Lady Gaga was awarded « Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist »,
Imagine Dragons were awarded « Favorite Pop/Rock Duo or Group »,
Keith Urban was awarded three times: « Favorite Male Country Artist », « Favorite Country Album » and « Favorite Country Song »,
Carrie Underwood was awarded « Favorite Female Country Artist »,
Lauren Daigle was awarded « Favorite Contemporary Inspirational Artist »,
« Moana » was awarded « Top Soundtrack »,
Last but not least, Diana Ross received the « Lifetime Achievement Award ».
