Success for Canal+ YouTube channels
Just a few months after the launch of its first YouTube channels,* Canal+ is very pleased with the success of this initiative. Over the month of December, these channels together attracted over 39 million views** and 1.5 million subscribers. Such results are a testament to the public’s enthusiasm for Canal+’s iconic, original content, made possible by both seasoned and budding Internet talent. Following the success of this launch, the network plans to introduce two new Canal Factory channels: Action Discrète and Bapt and Gaël.

Pinheiros, the first place in fiber optic
Pinheiros, a district of São Paulo (SP), is the first place in Brasil to receive broadband services, cable TV and fixed telephony from GVT entirely in fiber optic. This technology, known as GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network), multipliy in 32 the capacity of the fiber that reaches straight to the customer’s home. Thus, it is possible to offer high speed connection to access multiple platforms preserving quality transmission with attractive prices. In the future, the GPON should be adopted throughout the area of GVT´s operation.
