Our priority: contribute to a more responsible world

Vivendi’s businesses are made of passion, creativity and talent. Diversity, equity and inclusion are at the heart of their identity and are among the major commitments of the Group.

Vivendi places individual skills at the heart of collective performance. Our goal is to develop the potential and commitment of our employees by creating an environment based on a culture of inclusion that fosters cooperation and shared well-being, and enables them to grow, learn and act.

      Inclusion and diversity

The diversity of talents represents an opportunity for creativity and performance for Vivendi. All our entities are committed to equal opportunities for our current or future employees.

      • Eliminating discrimation

Eliminating all forms of discrimination is one of the priorities targeted by the diversity, equality and inclusion programs implemented by the group’s businesses. Vivendi is committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone in recruitment, mobility, promotion, training and compensation.

To create an environment aligned with their culture, values and challenges, all group companies are committed to promoting diversity within their organization and actively pursue a policy of equal opportunity and equality of treatment for everyone.

Since 2018, Havas has continuously developed numerous initiatives with its All In diversity, equity and inclusion program, representing more than 150 action plans in 35 countries.
      • Gender equality

Equality between women and men is one of Vivendi’s core commitments, supported by the Supervisory Board and all the Group’s businesses. 54% of our Group’s employees are women. They represent 52% of managers.

With 40% of women in its management bodies, Vivendi has reached the target set by the French Rixain law to promote women in top management positions six years ahead of schedule.

In France, the group’s average gender equality index stood at 91 out of 100 points for 2023.

      • Reveler les talents
Since 2021, Yannick Bolloré has been one of the 15 champions of the HeForShe Alliance, a United Nations gender equality initiative. In line with this commitment, the Havas Group has set itself the objective of increasing the number of women in creative posts and creative leadership roles.
      • Employees with disabilities

Integrating persons with disabilities (whether physical or mental) and combating discrimination against them are important principles within the Group. All business units have committed to these principles by implementing a responsible and sustainable policy, including awareness campaigns for employees and managers, as well as by partnering with non-profit organizations to foster the employment and integration of persons with disabilities.

Since 2018, Vivendi has been a partner of the association LADAPT, which organizes the European Week for Employment of People with Disabilities.

      > Find out more about the programs and actions carried out within our businesses to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities in our Universal Registration Document p.134

In 2023, as part of its partnership with LADAPT, Vivendi organized a national conference on artificial intelligence and disability as well as a hackathon to propose practical ideas to make life easier for carers within the group.

      Nurturing talent

Vivendi firmly believes that its greatest strength is a direct result of the dedication of the women and men it employs and that each person’s talent contributes to its success.

Therefore, we strive to offer all employees experiences, career paths and growth opportunities that are in line with their aspirations, with the aim of encouraging sharing, agility and cross-functionality, thus providing opportunities for expression and creativity.

To this end, the HR teams at Vivendi and all our business units are implementing various actions to identify and attract talented people and to develop and retain them.

      > Find out more about the initiatives put in place to promote the development and career advancement of our employees in our Universal Registration Document p.127

In 2023, the Vivendi Talent Show showcased the many talents of the group’s employees. The competition attracted some 120 applications and allowed 14 finalists to take the stage at the legendary Olympia.

      Fostering social dialog

Vivendi is committed to fostering continuous, constructive dialog with employees and their representatives by promoting exchange and consultation at all levels, particularly in relation to working conditions and organizational changes.

Vivendi’s Works Council is a labor-dialogue body whose role is essentially to provide financial information, and whose members are kept informed on issues relating to the Group’s strategy and its development concerning economic, financial and social matters.

The European Company Committee (ECC) is a supranational body composed of 28 members representing 23 countries of the European Economic Area (EEA). It provides a forum for enriching social dialog at European level and covers all employees in Europe, including the United Kingdom after Brexit.

      Supporting employee engagement

Addressing societal issues and making a genuine impact on the world around us involves actively engaging our employees as committed and responsible stakeholders.

Overall, in 2023, 1,999 employees were involved in pro bono or skills sponsorship.

Since 2022, the Vivendi Mentoring program has enabled over 170 employees, in mainland France and overseas territories, to voluntarily mentor more than 240 young people into entering the job market during their working hours.

      Examples of initiatives

      • 81% of Vivendi employees participated in the group’s first global engagement survey, launched in early 2024.
      • To promote the advancement and promotion of women, Vivendi runs numerous programs: Andiamo (group program), Femmes Forward (Havas), Boost’Her (Canal+), She Plays (Gameloft)… In 2023, 58% of promoted employees were women.
      • 4,225 young people were able to benefit from their first professional experience (apprenticeship or internship) within Vivendi in 2023.
      • In 2023, and as every year in partnership with the association ViensVoirMonTaf, the French entities of the group (Havas with Havas Kids, Canal+, Vivendi SE, Prisma Media, and Gameloft) welcomed over 100 ninth graders from priority education program schools for a company discovery internship.
      • Since 2019, a working group for disability inclusion with all Vivendi entities has regularly met to share best practices and define a common roadmap.
      • In 2023, a “Café Joyeux counter” was inaugurated at the headquarters of Groupe Canal+, the first company to host within its premises this inclusive enterprise that primarily employs people with disabilities.
