Canal+ is pleased to extend its partnership with the French Rugby League to deliver TOP 14 exclusively to its subscribers until 2023.

Partner of the TOP 14 for over 30 years and holder of the rights to this this competition until 2019, Canal+ is proud to have won the last tender of the National Rugby League. The popularity of rugby in France has been increasing in recent years driven by strong values. Rugby is now the second most popular sport in France.

The TOP 14 is an important addition to what is already the widest rugby offer on TV complete with the expertise and recognized know-how of the editorial sports team at Canal+. Canal+ Group owns the rights to the ProD2, SUPER RUGBY, RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP and France’s Test matches in the Southern Hemisphere.

Canal+ is the channel for major international sports events and the most exciting recurring competitions. The Canal+ channels cover top football action with the Ligue 1, UEFA Champions League and, as of September 2016, the League 2 and League Cup. Not to mention emblematic shows such as the Canal Football Club. The channels also broadcast the Formula 1 FIA World Championship, major boxing events, the Monte Carlo and Paris Bercy ATP 1000 tennis tournaments, the British Open, the US Open, Augusta, the Ryder Cup, as well as the Diamond League meetings in Saint-Denis and Monaco. In addition, the Canal+ channels own rights to major, global sports events, including the latest Rugby World Cup and America’s Cup, the World Swimming Championships, as well as the upcoming Olympic Games this summer in Rio and in Tokyo in 2020.
